BREAKING GOOD NEWS: School Board Votes to Throw Out "Stacked" Book Review Committee

Dear Las Crucens,

GOOD NEWS! As a result of the formal complaint filed by myself and Juan Garcia, the Las Cruces School Board voted tonight to:

• Throw out the "stacked" book review committee pool

• Throw out the district's broken book complaint regulation and create a better process

• Allow us to potentially re-submit the book complaint once the new policy is in place

This is a huge win!  There is more work to do, but this is an important victory. 

THANKS to the dozens of you who showed up in support tonight! That really shows the school board that this issue is important to our community.
